Welcome Preschoolers!

Preschool Program in Newark, Delaware

NDNCC provides a nurturing and engaging preschool experience for children ages 3 to 4, where learning is built through exploration, creativity, and connection.

At this stage, children are developing stronger communication skills, growing independence, building friendships, and learning how to solve problems and work together. Our teachers create hands-on learning experiences that encourage children to ask questions, think critically, and confidently express themselves through play, movement, art, and more.

Full of curiosity and big questions, preschoolers are busy discovering who they are and how the world works.

Our Pre-K and Preschool classrooms are thoughtfully designed to inspire imagination and support kindergarten readiness through engaging interest areas, group learning experiences, and child-led exploration.

With two Preschool classrooms and one Pre-K classroom, every child benefits from a curriculum designed to support kindergarten readiness at every stage.

Our teachers work closely with families to support each child’s individual growth including:

Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG) and Ages and Stages (ASQ) Developmental Monitoring

Communication between families and teachers is key to your child’s experience at our center and adds to your level of comfort and satisfaction. NDNCC understands the importance of providing our families with information on their children’s progress and development. Outcome and assessment data, generated from our assessments, allow staff the opportunity to continually review and enrich our curriculum and better meet each child’s developmental and individual needs. These practices represent our commitment to continuous program improvement. We use Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSG) to monitor outcomes and Ages and Stages (ASQ) as a developmental screener.

TSG is an objective-based system designed for teachers to assess children in all areas of development and learning. Classroom activities and lesson plans are created to support school readiness in the areas of literacy and mathematics. Assessment results will be shared during bi-annual parent/ guardian – teacher conferences and by request.
